2019 Theme and Goals

I learned so much more about how I operate and how to change things than I had expected in 2018. I still have a long way to go, but my physical and mental health are potentially the best they’ve ever been. I’m still going to strive to continue growing healthy in every way, but it’s a new year and time for a new focus.

2019 Theme: Creativity

Creativity has always played a large role in my life and mental health. It’s been both positive and negative depending on how I’ve desired to pursue it. I’ve found doing less planning and scheduling and allowing more time and freedom are what’s best for me.

2019 Goals:

At least 26 videos.

Getting more confident and comfortable in front of and behind the camera.

Finding my preferred style.

At least 26 posts.

More writing focused posts.

At least 10 books.

Write more reviews.

Reread Last of the Memory Keepers by Azelyn Klein.

Read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke.

Write at least 3 chapters.

Plan at least 3 big projects.

Only do art when inspired or motivated instead of forcing myself to do it.

Do at least 52 bakes.

Continue making videos and writing blogs about my experience baking.

Make a dedicated office/creative space.

I have a few projects and ideas that will easily surpass most of these goals, but I am not going to force myself to complete them and am allowing myself the freedom of changing my mind. My mental and physical health are still my top priorities, so if my goals start endangering them, I will step back. I’m impatient to see what all I do this year and how each project turns out. But I’m even more excited to see how I change through taking part in allowing my creativity to roam free.

What are some of your goals for 2019? Let me know in the comments!
